Paul “Dickie” Edward Sheets, 82 of Newburg, WV passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at his residence with family by his side. He was born on July 1, 1943 in Thornton, son of James Everett Sheets and Elsie (Watkins) Sheets. Dickie graduated from Grafton High School, Class of 1961. He served in the United State Marines during the Vietnam War serving two tours and was a member of the Tunnelton VFW Post 2345. Dickie was an OTR Truck Driver for Star Transport. He enjoyed camping, fly fishing and making his own flies. “Dickie” is survived by his wife, Tammy Lorriana (Watkins) Sheets; daughter, Koren Cox (Donnie), Fellowsville, one granddaughter, Breanna Cox and partner (Shawn Knotts) Kingwood; two grandsons, Emmett Cox (Marlee), Parkersburg, Silas Cox, Fellowsville; daughter, Treva Rock (Joshua), Fredericksburg, VA; one grandson, Richard Sheets (Nicole), Warenton, VA; two great granddaughters, Avery Elizabeth Sheets and Layne Amelia Sheets; three grandsons, John Rock, Alexandria, VA, Andrew Rock, Boston, MA, and Ashton Rock, Fredericksburg, VA; one granddaughter, Molly Rock, Fredericksburg, VA; two sons, Cody Allen Bolyard and Travis Watkins of Newburg; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, “Dickie” is preceded in death by three brothers, Bill Sheets, George Sheets and James “Jimmy” Sheets; two sisters, Alice Jean Walls and Lora Ann Bolyard. Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave., Newburg, on Monday, September 8, 2025 from 10:30 am until time of service at 12:30 pm with Pastor Delisa Riley officiating. Interment will follow at West Virginia National Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Taylor County Honor Guard and the US Marines Honor Guard.
