Peter “Pete” George Tzavaras

Peter “Pete” George Tzavaras, 72 of Morgantown passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022. He was born April 12, 1950 in Chattanooga, TN, son of the late Gus and Lena Stathakis Tzavaras. Pete graduated from the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga.  He worked as an accountant at City Plumbing and Heating in Morgantown for several years. He was a member of the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Morgantown. He was an avid WVU Mountaineer Fan, enjoyed golfing, and camping with friends. Pete is survived by his wife, Darlene Bolyard, Arthurdale; one sister, Paula Rind and Joel, Philadelphia, PA; one niece, Zoe Rind; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arnold and Sarah Murray Bolyard, Moatsville; and special friends, Elizabeth King, David Huxtable and Susie Huggins. His family wishes to thank Arnold and Sarah Bolyard for the endless love and care they gave Pete in their home during the last months of his life. The family is also deeply grateful to WV Caring Respite Care in Elkins for their support, compassion and care. Memorial Donations can be made to WV Caring P.O. A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 5:30 PM at Arthurdale Cemetery with Rev. Fr. Jon Emanuelson, Priest of Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Morgantown officiating. "A celebration of Pete's life will be held at a later time."
