Robert “Bob” Jackson Ridenour, 81, of Birds Creek Road, Tunnelton passed away Monday, December 20, 2021 at his residence with family by his side. He was born on November 17, 1940 at Frog Hollow Road, Laurel Mountain, son of the late Archie Leonard and Edna Mae “Loar” Ridenour. Bob graduated from Rowlesburg High School, Class of 1959, and retired as a Coal Miner. He was a member of the Christian Evangelical Church. Bob loved hunting, fishing, camping, gardening and playing with his grandchildren. Bob is survived by three children, Jocelyn K Ridenour, Howesville, Brian K Ridenour and Paula, Newburg, Regina L Travinski and Greg, Morgantown; five grandchildren, Sasha and Josh Plotner, Jessica and Shawn Howard, Harley Ridenour and James, Samantha Ridenour and Justin Travinski and Catherine; two great-grandsons, Landon Plotner and Cameron Plotner; one great-granddaughter, Lillyana Howard; one brother, Clinton Ridenour and Dolly, Kingwood, one sister, Lucille Funk, Reedsville; two brothers-in-law, Ordane Ridenour, Tunnelton, and Herb Stevens, Tunnelton; special niece and like a daughter, Deborah Cox and James, Monongahela, PA, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Belle Ridenour in 2014; one grandson, Jacob Ridenour in 2020; one great-grandson, Jackson Edward Howard; two sisters, Clara Stevens and Phyllis Bolyard; two brothers-in-law, Paul Bolyard and Kenneth Funk; one sister-in-law, Ethel L Boylan Ridenour. Family and friends will be received at the Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave. Newburg, Thursday, December 23, 2021 from 2-7 pm and Friday, December 24, 2021 from 9am until time of service at 11:00 am with the Pastor Robert Anderson officiating.
