Robert "Bobby" Galen Wilson

Robert “Bobby” Galen Wilson, 48 of Independence, WV, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Preston Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 8, 1974 in Morgantown, son of the late Albert Ronald and Rose Marie (Sigley) Wilson. Bobby graduated from Preston High School, Class of 1992. He had worked at Mylan for ten years on the Tablet Press. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors, and shopping on Amazon.  Bobby was an avid football fan of the WVU Mountaineers and Pittsburgh Steelers and he loved spending time with his family. Bobby is survived by his wife, Carrie Elizabeth (Bucklew) Wilson whom he married on August 8, 1991; three sons, Robert Cody Wilson and fiancée, Rosanna, Kingwood, Tyler Galen Wilson and companion Lewis, Morgantown, Ryan Foster Wilson, Independence; three grandchildren, Nevaeh, Lelah and River; six siblings, Ron Wilson and Kathy, Moatsville, James Wilson, Kingwood, Larry Wilson and Bev, Belpre, OH, Michelle Ramsburg, Charleston, WV, Tonya Mayne and Ed, MD, Pam Kelly and Ron, Bruceton Mills; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Foster and Judy Bucklew, Independence, one brother-in-law, Clayton (Bucky) Bucklew and Amanda, Independence, two sisters-in-law, Becky Bernatowicz and Eric, Kingwood, Rachel Fraley, Kingwood; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Bob Ramsburg. Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave, Newburg, WV on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from 3:00 pm-8:00 pm and on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 from 9:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am with Pastor Jim Carder officiating.
