Roger Lee Sisler, 63, of Tunnelton, West Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Mon General Hospital.
Born on April 21, 1962, in Kingwood, he was the son of the late Franklin Clay Sisler and Mildred Virginia (Shrout) Sisler. Roger was a dedicated and hardworking man who spent many years as a machine operator for Jennmar, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment.
Outside of work, Roger found joy in the simple things in life. He loved fishing, watching television, tinkering with small engines, woodworking, and riding his 4-wheeler. He was someone who enjoyed staying busy with his hands and sharing quiet moments with those he loved.
Roger is survived by his loving wife, Carrie Lynn (Taylor) Sisler, whom he married on October 27, 1986; his son, Christopher Lee Sisler and his companion Amber Wagner of Reedsville; and his cherished grandchildren, Patience Cartwright, Autumn Sisler, and Mason Sisler. He is also survived by his sisters, Linda Kelley (Harlen) of Tunnelton and Barbara McCloud of Albright; his sister-in-law, Verna Travis of Tunnelton; along with several nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his brothers, Alan Sisler, Thomas Sisler (Bessie), and Richard Sisler; his sisters, Rose Mary Pase (Woody); sisters-in-law, Patricia Taylor (Elza Andrew Jr.), Patty Taylor; and his brothers-in-law, Raymond McCloud Jr., Brook Travis, and David Earl Taylor.
Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Avenue, Newburg, West Virginia, on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Ray Frankhouser officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date at Shay’s Chapel Cemetery.
Roger will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a man who worked hard, loved deeply, and found happiness in life’s everyday moments.
