Ronald Sypolt Obituary

Ronald Gene Sypolt, 71 of Rowlesburg, WV passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at his residence with family by his side. He was born December 7, 1951, in Rowlesburg, a son of the late Carl Gay and Edith Watkins Sypolt. Ronald graduated from Rowlesburg High School, Class of 1969.  Ronald served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from MJE as a Data Tech in Uniontown, PA. Ronald also had worked at Etam Earth Station, ATT, and Kinney Shoe Factory. He enjoyed woodworking, riding his motorcycle, his side by side, fishing, hunting and taking long walks. Ronald is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Joyce Kay (Henline) Sypolt; one daughter, Melissa Jean Plum and Johnny, Newburg; one son, Ronald Scott Sypolt and Shavon, Rowlesburg; five grandchildren, Derek Allen Plum and Stephanie, Andrew Jean Plum and Katherine, Macayla Marie Sypolt, Natalie Rae Sypolt and Liam Scott Sypolt; three great-grandchildren, Taylor Nicole Holt, Addison Grace Plum and Maddix Allen Plum;  three brothers, Lonnie Sypolt, OH, Greg Sypolt, Etam and Timothy Sypolt and wife, Peggy, Terra Alta; two sisters, Carla Lothes, and husband George, Montrose, and Celesta Rodeheaer and husband, Charlie, Terra Alta; four half-sisters, Amy Amie and husband, Arch, Parsons, Ann Hunt and husband, John, Bruceton Mills, Angie White, Etam and Alice Sypolt, Grafton; one sister-in-law, Bonnie Sypolt; three sisters-in-law, Onda Minor, Hopewell, VA, Carolyn North and Earl, Chester, VA, Judy Wolfe and James, Kingwood; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ronald is preceded in death by three brothers, Edward at birth, Anthony Sypolt and Michael Joseph Sypolt; one sister-in-law, Rhonda Sypolt; two brothers-in-law, Richard Minor and James Henline. Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave, Newburg, WV on Friday, March 17, 2023 from 3:00 -7:00 pm and on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 12:00 noon until time of service at 3:00 pm with Pastor Barry Adkins officiating. Interment will follow at the Flag Cemetery where full military honors being accorded by the Preston County Honor Guard and the US Army Honor Guard.
