Rose Mary Stone

Rose Mary Stone, 72 of Newburg, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025 at her residence. She was born on June 9, 1952 in Kingwood, daughter of the late Samuel Kenneth and Madeline Louise (Miller) Nelson. Rose loved going ginseng and mushroom hunting, doing crafts, cooking and catalog shopping.  Rose is survived by her loving husband, Charles “Charlie” Edward Stone; two daughters, Sharon Louise Crosco (James), Tunnelton, Madeline Louise Akers (Shawn), Montrose; four grandchildren, Samantha Dakon, Thomas Sisler, Erica Sisler and Cassie Diaz; eight great-grandchildren, Denae, Myles, Gavin, Gracie, Kenair, Takashi, Joshlynn and Mika; three siblings, Jim Nelson (Linda) Tunnelton, Joanne Zinn, Kingwood, Patty Winters (Charles), Tunnelton; six sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jeanne Wagner and Charles, Rowlesburg, Richard A. Stone, Newburg, Christeen Dalton, Morgantown, Roger Stone, Fellowsville, Michael Stone, Fellowsville, and Kenny Dalton, Arthurdale; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Rose is preceded in death by her one son, Kenneth Lee Bolyard; four sibling, Robert “Bob” Nelson, David Nelson, Shirley Johnson and Donna Miller; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard Lee Stone and Mary Kathleen (Lambert) Stone; one sister-in-law, Sharon Dalton. Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave. Newburg, WV, Wednesday, March 19, 2025 from 3:00 pm until time of service at 6:30 pm with Rev.
