Ruth Renee (Bucklew) Martin

Ruth Renee (Bucklew) Martin, 73 of Gladesville, WV went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at home with family by her side. She was born on February 20, 1949 in Morgantown, daughter of the late Foster O and Wanda M “Wigley” Bucklew. Ruth worked at West Virginia University for thirty-seven years. She loved cooking, gardening, her flowers, going to church and spending time with her family. Ruth was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Gladesville. Ruth is survived by four sons, Eric Martin and spouse, Alisa, Kingwood, Curtis Martin and spouse, Anita, Masontown, Christopher Martin and girlfriend, Marcie, Gladesville, and youngest son, Anthony Martin, Gladesville; two brothers, Raymond Bucklew and Carolyn, Drexel, NC, Foster Bucklew and Judy, Independence; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and grandparents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, David Ray Martin in 2021. Family will receive friends at Bolyard Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, from 2:00-7:00 PM and Thursday, August 25, 2022 from 11:00AM until time of service at 1:00PM with Pastor Jim Carder officiating.
