Sadie Jean (Buckingham) Knotts

Sadie Jean (Buckingham) Knotts, 78 of Tunnelton, WV passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025 at her residence with family by her side. She was born on December 11, 1946 in Preston County, daughter of the late Orval George Buckingham Sr and Blanch Marie (Sisler) Buckingham. Sadie loved cooking, doing puzzles, playing cards, and especially being with family and friends at parties and cookouts. Sadie is survived by three sons, Roger Knotts, Newburg, George Knotts, Tunnelton, Randy Knotts, Newburg; two daughters, Betsy Nelson and Roger, Tunnelton, Sadie Hudson (Danny), Morgantown; ten grandchildren, SueAnn McMillen, Betsy Knotts, Roger Paul Knotts, Jessica Sadler (Anthony), Courtney Nelson (Rodney Waybright), Roger Nelson Jr.(Brittney), Danielle Knotts, Christopher, James, Samantha Metz; fifteen great grandchildren, Destiny, Andrew, Maranda, Anthony (TJ), William, Clayton, Kaleb, Juniper, Crimson, Jennifer, Austin, Kenneth, Olivia, Austen, Randy Jr; two sisters, Marie Everson, OH, Margaret McCauley-Conner (companion, David), PA; four brothers, Glenn Buckingham, Richard Buckingham (Patty), Orval Buckingham Jr all of Tunnelton, Ricky Buckingham (Paulie), Kingwood; several nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, Sadie was preceded in death by her husband in 2011, Paul W Knotts; one son, Johnny Knotts; two granddaughters, Jennifer Nelson and Chayanne Knotts; two sisters, Virginia Knotts and Mary Buckingham. Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown St., Newburg, WV, Thursday, October 23, 2025 from 3:00-7:00 pm and Friday, October 24, 2025, from 9:00 am until the service at 11:00 am with the Pastor Nick Bolyard officiating.
