Shirley Ann Shahan

Shirley Ann Shahan, 88 of Fellowsville, WV passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at her residence surrounded by family. She was born on October 1, 1935 in Kingwood, daughter of the late Paris Daniel and Florence Pearl (McGinnis) Wiles. Shirley started her working career as a secretary for the CIA, then work at WVU and Retired from Mon General. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She loved working with her flowers, watching birds, and going fishing with Ray. Shirley is survived by one daughter, Angela Celey and companion, Marc Atkinson; three sons, Richard Chappell, Fellowsville, Steven Chappell and Judy, Tunnelton, Marty Chappell and Pam, Albright; three stepsons, Kenneth Shahan, Thornton, David Shahan and Ruby, Grafton, Thomas Shahan and Donna, Tunnelton; sixteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Arnold Wiles, Reedsville,  Dean Wiles, Newburg; her fur-baby, Buddy Shahan; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her true love and husband of twenty-one years, Ray Junior Shahan in 2001, one granddaughter, Nicole Celey; two sisters, Maxie Martin and Lyla Flesher; two nephews, Jeffrey Arnold Wiles and Shawn Dean Wiles; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Anita Wiles, Elsie Mae Wiles; and her companion of almost twenty years, Thomas Goldsmith. The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice, and special nurses, Camille Western, Alexa Greens, Amy Strahin, Ethel Haught and Madison Corley for all the love and support during this difficult time.Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave, Newburg, WV on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm and on Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 9:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am with Rev.
