Shirley Ann (Lyons) Wolfe

Shirley A Wolfe, 83 of Newburg, WV passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2019 at Pine Ridge in Kingwood with family by her side. She was born June 22, 1936 in Newburg, daughter of the late James A and Juanita B Johnson Lyons. Shirley attended Newburg High School. She worked previously at Kinney Shoe Factory, Preston Memorial Hospital, Sterling Faucet and the Ruby Chicken Factory. She loved singing and playing the piano. She attended Newburg United Methodist, Concord United Methodist, Shay’s Chapel Church and Solid Rock Church over the years. Her hobbies were crocheting and liked to dig ginseng. Shirley is survived by one daughter, Debbie Myers and husband, Frank, Cabins, WV; two sons, Charles Wolfe and wife, Peggy, Independence, Mark Wolfe and wife, Sheila, Tunnelton; five grandchildren, Cherilyn Bolyard and Scott, Kingwood, Shannon Holleran and Chris, Fellowsville, Jay Myers and Ann, Harrisonburg, VA, Valerie Bradley and Jared, Grafton, Phillip Wolfe, Wallace, WV; seven great-grandchildren, Colby Holleran, Kaylie Holleran, Nathan Bolyard, Ashley Bolyard, Katelyn Myers, Kyle Bradley, Liam Bradley; one brother, George Lyons and Sandy, Arthurdale; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Watson Wolfe Jr, one sister, Helen Adams, three brothers, James P Lyons, William L Lyons, Ralph D Lyons. Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave. Newburg, WV, Monday, August 5, 2019 from 3-7PM, and on August 6, 2019 from 9AM until time of service at 11AM with the Rocky Ridenour officiating.
