Sue Carol Casseday

Sue Carol (Taylor) Casseday, 91 of Terra Alta, WV passed away on March 27, 2023 at Peace Healthcare at Dennett Road Manor in Oakland, MD. She was born on February 14, 1932 in Newburg, Chestnut Ridge Community, daughter of the late Oscar Ray and Vonda Cornelia (Shay) Taylor. She graduated from Newburg High School, Class of 1950. Sue was a homemaker, and avid quilter and she won many awards at the Buckwheat Festival, Arts and Crafts displays for her Quilts. She also loved to crochet and spending winters in FL. Sue married the love of her life, Darold Casseday on December 23, 1950. She is survived by two sons, Jeffery H Casseday and companion, Janice Judy, Terra Alta, and Donald L Casseday and wife, Carolyn, Reedsville; three grandchildren, Martin, Angela and Joshua Casseday; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Janet Shaffer and Donald, Newburg; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Sue is preceded in death by her husband, Darold in 2002; two brothers, Larry and Arthur Taylor. Family and friends will be received at Shay’s Chapel Church, Chestnut Ridge Road, Newburg, WV on Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 12:00 Noon until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm with Pastor Delisa Riley and Rev.
