William "Bill" Wayne Street

William “Bill” Wayne Street Sr., 79 of Newburg, passed away Monday, May 27, 2019 at Ruby Memorial Hospital with family by his side. He was born December 19, 1939 in Preston County, son of the late Jacob Maxwell and Margery Lucille (Calvert) Street. Bill worked as a coal miner at Mettiki Mine where he retired. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed working in his yard. Bill is survived by two sons, William Street Jr. and wife Laurie, Denver, NC, Edward Street and wife Karen, Reedsville; two daughters, Elizabeth Kemper and husband Christopher, Parkersburg, Corrie Metz and Jim, Masontown; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Dennis Street, Hopewell, VA, Roger Street and Wanda, Newburg, Gary Street and Mary, Newburg; one sister, Suzy Stuchell and Roger, Indian Rocks; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Elizabeth Street in 2013; five grandchildren, two sisters, Olive Hussing and Dorothy Karabiac; four brothers, Bob Street, Jack Street, Jimmie Street and John Street.
