Yara Diaz

Yara Diaz, 56 of Tunnelton, WV passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025 at Reynold Memorial Hospital in Wheeling, WV, with Donna Bohon and Patty Markley by her side. She was a Foster Child for her whole life and was born in California on February 08, 1969. She had a biological twin brother she never met. Yara loved polishing her nails, working on puzzles, coloring in her coloring books, going on car rides, helping around the house and visiting friends and family. Yara’s first foster mother was Edith Maine along with several foster siblings. When Edith couldn’t take care of her any more, she was placed with Edith’s sister, Elizabeth Bohon and husband, Elmer in Tunnelton, WV. Yara had four foster siblings here, Ann Zugar, Donna Stull (Jim), Rick Bohon, and Donna Bohon (John). She will be cremated and buried at Knotts-Shaver Cemetery on Laurel Mountain. The family would like to thank the employees at REM Facility and Cameron Healthcare Center in Wheeling, WV for taking excellent care of Yara.
